TESTIMONIALS

When I met Julie for our first session in January 2023, I was limping in constant pain, unable to reach my toes due to hip tightness from a previous left hip replacement and subsequent right ankle fracture that required being on crutches for 3 months.  As a former athlete, I was used to painful recoveries, but after a year of trying without improvement, I was in despair.  Julie’s positive and compassionate bedside manner helped me start with small steps (literally) and stretches in the first month, rebalancing my core and hip muscles and getting my neuro-muscular connections to work again.  As the exercises progressed in difficulty, she always kept my focus on quality and form, and away from pain.  By then end of 2 months, I was walking on the beach without a limp.  By May, I was able to go for 2-3 mile hikes again.  This past spring, my wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in Paris and were able to walk 9-10miles per day without any difficulty.  None of this would have been possible without Julie’s expertise, guidance, support.  I cannot thank her enough for her incredible clinical acumen and experience – she literally put this humpty dumpty back together again! – Kimo, left hip replacement, right ankle fracture

Grateful doesn't begin to describe how I feel about Julie and PT for Life. After enduring more than 20 years of chronic back and leg pain, she not only provided relief but also identified the underlying cause. Her extensive experience and personalized approach have transformed my life. I wholeheartedly recommend Julie to anyone seeking lasting solutions and compassionate care.

A friend recommended I schedule an appointment with Julie after I strained my neck and couldn't turn my head. It was an acute issue that was connected to ongoing neck pains I had been dealing with on and off for months. I was very grateful that Julie found time within a day for me to come in. She was wonderful to work with--listening to the issue, probing for context, and getting right into the physical therapy. Not only did she provide me with physical relief, but she also showed me stretches and exercises I could do on my own to address my more chronic issue. I highly recommend working with her!  Nicole Ireland, cervical strain, age 46

Julie is an excellent PT!  She helped me get back to action quickly after hip surgery.  Suggesting the right balance of exercises and stretches while helping work on range of motion during the critical period when scar tissue can develop. Highly recommend.  Dan Lawrence, hip resurfacing

I have seen Julie for 2 courses of treatment, once for a torn meniscus and the other time for a fractured ankle recovery. With her therapy, I have been able to strengthen and my knee and put off surgery, while rejoining activities like skiing and jogging with no pain. My ankle strength also improved quickly.  Amazing! I find her knowledgeable about physicians in the area, anatomy--breaking down the exercises and why they work, and ensuring the "homework" is all straight forward. I would highly recommend Julie.   Laura West, medial meniscus tear, ankle fracture, age 50

Julie is a super smart common sense physical therapist who takes into consideration not only your injury but your daily activities, lifestyle needs, and goals. I took a bad fall on my knee and thought for sure I had re-injured my patella. Julie worked with me and encouraged me to treat it with PT as a bad contusion. Sure enough, I was back on the tennis court in a few weeks!  Karen Crawley, knee contusion

I struggled with severe concussion symptoms for 3 years -- until I found Julie.  She assessed problems with my eyes, neck and balance, and within weeks, all were on the mend.  A few years later, Julie's expertise helped me avoid back surgery.  I trust her, and she is literally my PT for the rest of my life.  Allison Moir-Smith, concussion, lumbar herniated disc

I highly recommend PT for Life. My teenage son had a hamstring strain. Julie was able to see him immediately. Scheduling was flexible. Convenient location. The treatments started to help immediately, plus he was given simple, effective stretches and exercises for home.  After a few weeks, he was feeling much better and ready for tryouts! -J. Cohen MD

I'm 74.  I've been an outdoor runner and open water rower for the past 30+ years.  I've racked up plenty of little injuries over that time, and have seen numerous PT's, chiropractors, etc. Julie has clearly been the most knowledgeable, caring provider I've worked with.  I really like getting my care at her home office.  It is so much more pleasant than going into noisy clinic settings, with waiting rooms and excess busyness.  Julie is always responsive to communications, no matter what the platform.  She is quick to respond and, you don't have to leave messages with secretaries or speak to assistants to get the answer you need.  Brent  Davidson, age 74, knee pain, lumbar radiculopathy, foot drop, cervical pain
