Julie Crocker DPT

Julie Shea Crocker was born in Hartford, Connecticut.  She is the youngest of eight children.  Growing up Julie's parent's taught that an active body lead to a healthy mind.  She spent much of her childhood playing sports with her brother and sisters and developed a competitive spirit.

Through high school and college Julie competed in swimming, running, tennis, soccer and rugby. Julie attended Colby College earning a BA in Religious Studies in 1998.  During her time at Colby she worked in the training room, gaining exposure to the field of physical therapy.

Julie attended Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions earning her Master of Science in Physical Therapy and then her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2001.  She worked in outpatient physical therapy for both Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates while living in Boston.

Ten years ago Julie and her husband Andrew decided to relocate to Manchester-by-the-Sea, to raise their young family.  Julie has fallen in love with this community and the many opportunities to live an active lifestyle here.  She continues to swim, play tennis, sail, ski, run, hike, practice yoga and play soccer whenever she can.  Julie hopes to remain active into her old age and plans to help others who want to do so, as well.
